Happy birthday, here's some Medicare!

Today is my mom's birthday. I won't tell you how old she is, but it's a milestone! Let's just say she can now go to the doctor as much as she wants, which my American readers will understand but all others will scratch their heads about...

We've just gotten off the phone and Jamie has wished her 'Happy Birthday' and Maia 'Hap bir day day' and now my parents are off to Northhampton, MA and then a poetry festival. So on this special day, I want to wish my mom many happy returns. She's a wonderful mom and and I'm trying my best to be as kind and patient as she is. And mostly failing, but she set the bar high!
