Mini Mod Dress pattern giveaway
I'm so busy just now getting everything ready (or not) for Treefest so I can't stick around and dazzle you with my scintillating chat, so I'll let the photos do the talking....
This cute dress (and the sweet girl) were made by the lovely Tiny White Daisies. So with another pattern through testing and the order put in at the printers, another giveaway!
This style is inspired by 60's style mini dresses and it would look equally good in summer or layered for winter. The armholes and neckline are self-faced and it's a pretty quick and easy pattern to come together, you could definitely make a couple in a night. It comes in sizes 18m/2T and 3T/4T.
I love her dress, it's so sweet with that flowery box pleat! If you're partial to the three panel dress instead, the pattern includes that as well!
To enter the giveaway leave a comment on this post with your favourite holiday food. We're off to the States in less than two weeks, and we're looking forward to Dairy Queen most of all! M&M Blizzards, here I come! I'll pick a winner on Sunday.
beautiful pattern! tiny white daisies did a beautiful job! and both models are as cute as buttons! I'd have to say my most favorite holiday food would have to be lobster dipped in melted butter...swoon ;)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Both versions are lovely, and though my 4yo is probably too tall for 4T, I'd still love a shot at it for other people's kids.
ReplyDeleteHmm. Holidays in Americanish or British? At Christmas, it's Christmas pudding with brandy butter (made by me, all others are inferior. Butter, icing sugar and brandy, and that's it). In the summer holidays, I love eating salads - pasta ones, potato ones, cous cous ones, leafy green ones - and, let's face it, ice cream. Strawberry ice cream from the ice cream trike at the Book Festival is particularly good.
Gorgeous dresses again!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a particularly well travelled person but I have to say a good Irish stew was my favourite on my honeymoon in Blarney, Cork!
Thanks for another fab giveaway!
Love it!
ReplyDeleteFavorite holiday food? A pumpkin roll! But only with fresh pumpkin!
I'd say either a knickerbockerglory (all one word and said very very fast) or American steak - yum!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, fabulous chance at this great pattern!
ReplyDeleteFavourite holiday food? S'mores made on the fire at camping!
So cute!
ReplyDeleteOoh! Pretty please!! I have had a dress like this in my head for days (thanks to you, I suspect), but haven't the talent to put it to fabric. I'm so glad you do!!
ReplyDeleteHoliday food - there are so many exceptional choices... I think my favorite is REAL potato bread, made with homemade mashed potatoes. I only go to all that trouble at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it is sooo good (and fattening, but who cares at the holidays?!)
fave holiday food would be pumpkin pie. scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteand ditto on the blizzards. i'm quite partial to the oreo mint myself... :)
Gorgeous dresses! Maia will rock New England in a couple of weeks. As for Blizzards, the best flavor is Heath Bar Crunch by far. But that's my opinion. I love me some Sonic Cherry Limeades on car trips in the summer. Refreshing!
ReplyDeleteOoh I love a giveaway! Gorgeous dresses as ever. Izzy would look fab in one of those!
ReplyDeleteCan I pick a holiday drink instead of food? I have fond memories of drinking Long Island Iced Teas in New York in my pre children days!!
I'd love to win the 18m/2T pattern for our little one coming in just a couple of weeks. As for holiday food... probably fresh ears of corn roasted on the fire and then dripping in butter.
ReplyDeleteApple pie! But then, I think good apple pie is good food for any time ;)
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt crepes!! I love that dress. Good luck with preps for treefest.
ReplyDeletewhat cute dresses! My fave holiday food are these yummy sweet potatoe biscuits that my sister makes.
ReplyDeletelovely dresses! My favourite holiday food has to be a nice clotted cream tea. With strawberries if I am feeling extravagant. Its brilliant after a morning surfing, or a day at the park. And best of all you can easily recreate it at home!
ReplyDeleteooh, another try, another gorgeous dress!
ReplyDeleteHoliday food? Fresh mackerel straight off the boat, cooked on the barbecue. Almost enough to make me want to buy a fishing boat:)
Cute, cute, cute. Holiday food in the states, hmm, gotta be good ole shrimp n grits in the southern states. P.s. While you're in the states please tell my husband (who is currently there) that he really does have room in his suitcase for some alexander henry stuff!! I hope you have a lovely time you've been working like a dog!!
ReplyDeleteI think i might have to buy this pattern if I don't win it :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite holiday food would be spanakopita followed by a big slice of baklava all dripping in syrup. With a frappe with a straw in it. Preferably eaten on the beach at Paleokastritsa in Corfu. Happy days :D
P.s. I bought some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups today, yummmmmmm..
oooh holiday food. My mouth is watering thinking about it. I love Gran Canarian potatoes with Mojo sauce.
ReplyDeleteLOL I don't want to win, I don't think the dress would fit my 22 year old daughter :-) My favourite holiday food is chips, I don't "do" abroad.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dresses. They are both adorable.
ReplyDeleteI have to go for Candied Yams. I'd never had them until I made them for DH at Thanksgiving last year (he is American) and they are heaven on a plate!
Me, me! Pick me! I'll be your best friend...
ReplyDeletePS - holiday food: gambas al pil pil hot and yummy prawns. Pick me!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you can beat a cream tea on holiday! Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love these super-cute dresses - fingers crossed :)
ReplyDeleteFavourite holiday food...how to narrow it down? Maybe pickled herring and crispbread after a swim in a Swedish lake, or Northern Irish wheaten bread thickly spread with butter? No, probably my most favourite would be a Shakshuka (tomato-chilli-egg concoction) served with the full range of Israeli salads and washed down with a lovely cool beer. Mmmmmmm...
Enjoy noshing your heart out on all your favourite flavours when you go!
Nice!
ReplyDeleteHmmm food. Holiday food is just anything yummy ... Ice cream cones in summer, apple pie in winter.
Oh and does champagne count as a food group??! ;-)
Gorgeous dresses! Hmmmm... holiday food... if it's somewhere hot and coastal, I'm thinking any sort of fresh fish. And ice cream of course.
ReplyDeleteLove that dress very much x x
ReplyDeleteMy fave holiday food would be fresh crab ooooh no wait Vanilla ice cream with a generous topping of clotted cream mmmmm !!!
Love the pattern! My favourite holiday food was scrummy cheesecake when we were in the States for our honeymoon. My second fave was grilled sardines in Portugal. I'm hungry now!!
ReplyDeletefavourite holiday food? hmm.. i've got to say, i *love* turkey, and we only ever have it at holidays, so i suppose that would be it.. im also a big fan of sugar cookies in the shape of christmas trees. :)
ReplyDeleteps, both versions of this dress are super cute!
okay...my fav holiday/vaca food has to be what my daughters call "Firecrackers"- we use Maple Stroop Waffles, smeared with all natural peanut butter and topped off with a couple chunks of really dark chocolate. Then we toast them up on the firepit. Yumm! Welcome back to the states!
ReplyDeleteOh my! what an adorable dress! Holiday food for me would have to be good old sea side fish and chips....yum!
