Boy briefs underwear pattern giveaway
Seeing as I have resurrected my wayward aquaintaince with the scanner and I'm attempting to complete the ten thousand projects I have at 98% completion, the time has come to release the Boy Brief Underwear pattern that went through testing in the summer. About bloody time, right?
If anyone has the powers of memory required to recollect the distant past, you will remember that the underpants are suitable for boys and girls and available in sizes 1-2yr, 2-3yr, 3-4yr and 4-5yr. With my ample-bummed daughter in mind, they are designed for maximum coverage with low cut legs and a nice high rise in the back. Courtesy of a tall yoga-style waistband and knit bound leg holes, there is no elastic to dig into delicate skin. With these modest briefs, your child is firmly in the No Crack, No Wedgie Zone.
So, as always, to celebrate the release of a new pattern I'm hosting a giveaway. This giveaway's theme: boy's clothes. After the hoodie pattern is available in hopefully a week's time, I'd like to have another boy / unisex pattern in my arsenal. To enter just leave a comment on this post (remember to include your email address if I can't reach you through your blog) with your suggestion for a boy's pattern you'd like to see. And remember that you can leave multiple times whenever you use your cyber trickery (Twitter, Facebook, blogging etc) to pimp the giveaway. But remember to comment on this post each time, or I won't be able to keep track. I'll randomly select a winner on Wednesday!
oooh! Love them, they would look scrummy on my twins. Could we have a super Mario pattern or failing that lego or dogs! as suggested by Milo and Jarvis!
ReplyDeleteThanks Hope I win.

i love the pants. Will have to save up for pattern and fabric. I'd love to see those long sort of surfer dude shorts or the sort that have detachable bottems! X
ReplyDeletePotty training my twins and it seems like there aren't enough underwear in the world right now, would love to make my own and not have to buy any more skimpy little panties!!
ReplyDeleteOooh I love them. What about pj's? They are unisex and the shop bought ones never seem to fit right.

This is so what i need right now, Roo is going through about eight pairs of pants a day. She too has a lot of junk in her trunk so these would do nicely as a first project when i am reunited with my sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteI think cargo pants with big pockets to store treasures and the little ties at the bottom so you can roll them up, would be a great pattern to expore for boys (and girls!)
x K
Aww...I love these...If I win I am making my son a bunch of these!
ReplyDeleteAnd I would really like to see patterns for PJ Tops and boxer briefs.
You can contact me at gabbysmom03@gmail.com or at my blog: http://loveforsewing.blogspot.com

Love the pants, much more generous than the character briefs that are so readily available in supermarkets.
ReplyDeleteI'd like a good PJ bottoms pattern so many options for funky fabric combos x
Love the pants pattern, how about a pattern for a boy's top, not that I have a boy to sew for, but there seems to be a lack of them out there.

Great pants!! My nephew now aged 6 is waring aged 8 clothes as he is built like a little rugby player, but if I could adapt the pattern to be a tiny bit bigger, or just use super stretchy spandex, I could make him a pair of superman pants in red and yellow......by him some tights for christmas, and his mum may think I have gone even further off the wall.Kx
ReplyDeleteI love these pants...my kids would wear homemade underwear everyday if they had enough!
ReplyDeleteI'd love a nice bucket type sun hat for boys or girls.
Great pants!!
ReplyDeleteCount me in please

Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see a fisherman's smock style pattern for my hippy boys.
Very cool pattern!! Thanks for the chance to win! I would love to see a boys' cargo pants/shorts pattern with a rib waist like the pants Boden sells (but with less details so it isn't too hard to sew.) http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Boys-Trousers-Jeans/22215/Boys-Rib-Waist-Cargos.html
ReplyDeleteThe briefs are just so cute and stylish, not to mention practical for both girls and boys. Thanks for the chance to win! There is so much to be done when it comes to girls' clothing but boys seem to get only shirts and pants patterns. I'm not sure what to suggest but I'm sure the other commenters will have ideas!
ReplyDeleteretweeted you. x (i'm neutronel on twitter)
ReplyDeleteI retweeted you, does that mean I get another entry. I have loads of knit scraps and am desperate to turn them into duggies for my little spuggy.
ReplyDeleteWe need some of those. Rheya lives in permanent wedgie land.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any boys but I do love a good pair of combat style trousers or crops...I could always girlie them up for my kids :)
