  1. No more backpacks full of cake ingredients to bake elsewhere! Yay!

  2. I may or may not have just wet myself laughing a little bit.

  3. I would like to think that I have actively followed your cake triumphs with anticipation and awe, but I don't remember the middle one (next to peppa) - would it be very rude to ask what you were aiming for? I'm thinking volcanic rock ;0) Seriously, though congrats on the new oven, it looks beautifully shiny!

    1. I was aiming for a completely normal cake! It was actually the Fifi one whilst baking: http://kitschycoo.blogspot.com/2008/11/because-nothing-says-i-love-you-like.html

  4. Oh! I've been dreaming of a double oven like this. I like the idea of not having to heat a whole oven to bake smaller dishes.

    1. Alas, the top oven is only a grill. I think :)

  6. OMG rainbows and unicorns are exactly what I expect from a fancy-schmancy oven. Remind me to tell you about the oven that caught fire in our kitchen 6 years ago and has yet to be replaced. I am not kidding. We are operating on a "toaster oven" thankyouverymuch.

p.s. I owe you an email. tomorrow, I promise. sort of. Soon. I'm on board. You are awesome of course.

p.p.s. go enjoy the oven. Bake a ton of shit.

  7. Hurrah for you! I don't know how you have managed this long!
A couple of years ago we moved from a house with gas to one with electricity only. I borrowed a 2 ring baby belling and I managed on that for about a fortnight before I put my sob story on freecycle (family of five, including brand new baby and no proper oven...) and scored a replacement almost immediately. I now regularly use it to bake batches of cup cakes (100 or so) for school!

  8. I love your cakes. They are the food equivalent of my sewing.

  9. I expect those muppet cupcakes to show up on the blog shortly. I bet unicorns and rainbows know how to bake shit like that.
