Proto-pants begets Proto-suit

Whence before I attempted to distract you with detritus in the background, I will now distract you with detritus in the background and terrible lighting.  I will take pictures of the next version through rain-streaked glass.
protosuit front

These are actually Proto-pants V2-- tighter and higher than their forebearer.  I doubt you've noticed, however, being unable to tear your eyes away from Inadvertant Sports Bra.  I don't even know how to fix this travesty.  Ideas?

haircut

I will now cleanse your visual palate with a picture of my new short and blonde hair.

  1. Errm.. Slightly lower V at the front, bit more ruching to give it a pulled down look so that the middle is not so deep? It does look fine TBH, not particularly sports bra like, just a bit too "sensible". It's going to be Wonder Woman afterall - be a bit more daring :D Be brave Amanda, you've got the right shape for it :)

  2. Make the top of the bra shorter and the strap longer. So cut maybe 2/3" from the top of the bra and see if you like it better then?

  3. I agree with needing to cut away at the top more. It definatly needs to be a bit more risqué, but you have the ammunition to pull it off, and the fab new hair cut! xxx

  4. Definitely needs more of a defined bit in the middle, so it's less mono-boob. Can you do underwiring? That might help too, so it has distinct cups. Could you go on a high street bikini top trying-on spree to see what style works best for you?

  5. Exactly what I was thinking - you gotta show at least a LITTLE cleavage in the middle. (Even I, the boobless wonder, flaunt my sternum with attached ribs there in the center!) And LOVE the hair! Have you forgotten anything important yet? (I'm blond, remember, so I'm allowed.)

  6. I was completely distracted by the hair! I love it!! I saw the hair first before I saw the suit. Protopants v2 is a great fit IMHO. And like everyone else, I think the proto-kini needs more definition in the middle ... like more ruching to pinch it down so a little cleavage shows. It is nevertheless a good version 1. Can't wait to see version 2.

  7. Definitely pull the top of it down a bit, that should help with it generally. I think you will have to try and shape the cups individually somehow, either with foam cup thingys, or by adding some shaping via seaming (princess seams or something), or as Pickled weasel says, some underwiring. If you want to lose the mono boob-sports bra effect, you prob either need to pull it in and down drastically in the middle somehow, or abandon the centre pull in altogether and make it straight across more like a crop top on the outside layer, and just have more shaping on the inside.. It's a tricky one! the bottoms are looking good however, and the hair is great!

  8. have you seen all the stuff daughter fish has been doing on her blog re adding cups to tops? might help shape the cups a bit? personally i love the sort of retro look, so i think i would take the pants an inch higher at the waist.

  9. Love the new hair style! Looks fabulous on you.:) As far as the bikini top...narrow the straps a tad, perhaps?

  10. Seems we're all thinking alike on the top - my suggestion would be to increase the ruching to deepen the V a bit, and make the straps narrower. and for me, the proto-pants' waistband could be lower, but I suppose that would negate the Wonder Woman thing.
