It's giveaway time...

The tutorials for my boy's coat pattern arrived from the printer today so I'm ready to get listing! And with every new pattern comes a giveaway so here goes...

The coat is single breasted with a slightly a-line shape for ease of movement. As per usual, it is reversible and there are three buttons on each side. It comes with the option of a hood or pointed collar. Sizes are 18m/2T and 3T/4T, and the sleeves can be rolled up to show the contrasting fabric when child is smaller and down as they grow.

The warmer weather is making me cheerful, so for a chance to win this pattern leave a comment on this post with your favourite summer smell. I'll choose randomly on Monday.

  1. Summer smell? Anything that isn't chicken/child/husband poo scented will suit me!

Actually, I really love the smell of fresh mint. I bought a plant last week for my garden and it smells out of this world - I might have to go and sit by it this afternoon :)

  22. Growing up, the old couple that lived behind us had a patch of Bearded Irises. I would give the nice old man one of my mom's clematis blooms (the only plant she could ever really grow, and it was covered in purple flowers) or a dandelion. In return, he would give me either gum, a cutting off of a snowball bush (I think it's some kind of hydrangea... the funny thing is it belonged to *his* neighbor. He'd just reach over the fence and cut one off for me.), OR an iris from his wife's garden. They had the most beautiful smell. I always hoped he'd give me an iris.

That smell is summertime and friendliness to me. (sorry for the novel!)

Winter has well and truly hit here so I'm loving really reading about all these beautiful summer smells.
Mine - would have to be strawberries from the garden also. But especially when I can smell then in my little boy's hair -he always seems to get them mushed in from head to toe in the process of raiding the garden!!
