I'm so busy just now getting everything ready (or not) for Treefest so I can't stick around and dazzle you with my scintillating chat, so I'll let the photos do the talking....
This cute dress (and the sweet girl) were made by the lovely Tiny White Daisies. So with another pattern through testing and the order put in at the printers, another giveaway!
This style is inspired by 60's style mini dresses and it would look equally good in summer or layered for winter. The armholes and neckline are self-faced and it's a pretty quick and easy pattern to come together, you could definitely make a couple in a night. It comes in sizes 18m/2T and 3T/4T.
I love her dress, it's so sweet with that flowery box pleat! If you're partial to the three panel dress instead, the pattern includes that as well!

ReplyDeleteHmm. Holidays in Americanish or British? At Christmas, it's Christmas pudding with brandy butter (made by me, all others are inferior. Butter, icing sugar and brandy, and that's it). In the summer holidays, I love eating salads - pasta ones, potato ones, cous cous ones, leafy green ones - and, let's face it, ice cream. Strawberry ice cream from the ice cream trike at the Book Festival is particularly good.

ReplyDeleteHoliday food - there are so many exceptional choices... I think my favorite is REAL potato bread, made with homemade mashed potatoes. I only go to all that trouble at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it is sooo good (and fattening, but who cares at the holidays?!)
fave holiday food would be pumpkin pie. scrumptious!

Gorgeous dresses! Maia will rock New England in a couple of weeks. As for Blizzards, the best flavor is Heath Bar Crunch by far. But that's my opinion. I love me some Sonic Cherry Limeades on car trips in the summer. Refreshing!

ReplyDeletelovely dresses! My favourite holiday food has to be a nice clotted cream tea. With strawberries if I am feeling extravagant. Its brilliant after a morning surfing, or a day at the park. And best of all you can easily recreate it at home!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite holiday food would be spanakopita followed by a big slice of baklava all dripping in syrup. With a frappe with a straw in it. Preferably eaten on the beach at Paleokastritsa in Corfu. Happy days :D

ReplyDeleteFavourite holiday food...how to narrow it down? Maybe pickled herring and crispbread after a swim in a Swedish lake, or Northern Irish wheaten bread thickly spread with butter? No, probably my most favourite would be a Shakshuka (tomato-chilli-egg concoction) served with the full range of Israeli salads and washed down with a lovely cool beer. Mmmmmmm...

Love the pattern! My favourite holiday food was scrummy cheesecake when we were in the States for our honeymoon. My second fave was grilled sardines in Portugal. I'm hungry now!!

okay...my fav holiday/vaca food has to be what my daughters call "Firecrackers"- we use Maple Stroop Waffles, smeared with all natural peanut butter and topped off with a couple chunks of really dark chocolate. Then we toast them up on the firepit. Yumm! Welcome back to the states!
